Wild Incantations is a collection of electroformed copper jewellery pieces made by Gaia. Since childhood, Gaia has had a love for nature, collecting and creating, and electroforming is her latest passion that combines all three! Electroforming is a technique that involves building layers of copper metal around a surface. Gaia's electroformed jewellery consists of compositions made up of found and foraged objects (including insects, seedpods, bones and leaves) combined with various crystals. Gaia loves working with themes inspired by fantasy, mythology and the occult, and enjoys incorporating ideas and symbols from ancient Nordic and Celtic cultures. Through her art, Gaia hopes to invite a little more magic into the world.

Care Instructions

Copper is a metal that tarnishes very easily, so it is important to take good care of your copper jewellery. I seal all of my pieces with a clear lacquer to protect the surface. To care for your piece, avoid exposure to water, lotions and harsh chemicals, and store away from direct sunlight when not being worn.Copper is a metal that naturally changes over time. If you notice your piece has become dull, you can polish it using a soft polishing cloth or a brass wire brush to bring back some shine.

I create my jewellery using a process called electroforming to build up layers of copper over objects found in nature. This allows me to immortalise natural treasures such as bones, leaves and insects, and turn them into unique pieces of jewellery for you to wear!
